In the third part of our series, we will explore the Material Change feature to learn how to modify the materials of 3D models and add a visually distinctive dimension to them.

2D Text

Create 2D Text

I created a 2D Text by right-clicking on the 2D section in the Project Panel. The reason I chose this button is that it includes the coloring option.

I named the text box I created BLUE, set the font color to white, and the background color to blue. Then, I duplicated this 2D text box and customized it for the red color.

Duplicate

I am duplicating the material named Blue, which I used for the Cover and Main Body of the microwave model.

I set the material’s color to red using the Base Color option.

Scenario: Material Change

The scenario we created here means that every time I click the RED button, it applies the Red material to the Door Frame A component And to the Main Body A component. The conjunction ‘AND’ here signifies that both conditions must be fulfilled.
