Siemens Boosts U.S. Investments by More Than $10 Billion to Drive Industrial Tech Growth
Siemens is boosting U.S. investments by more than $10 billion to support the country’s industrial tech expansion. The company is ramping up its focus on manufacturing and AI capabilities to empower American industries and reinforce its leadership in these sectors.
Siemens is making substantial investments in U.S. manufacturing, including the unveiling of two state-of-the-art facilities in Fort Worth, Texas, and Pomona, California. This $285 million investment is expected to create over 900 skilled manufacturing jobs, with the production supporting key industries such as commercial, industrial, and construction sectors. The facilities will also supply electric equipment to power AI data centers, enhancing America’s role in the industrial AI revolution.
By more than doubling its production capacity for electric equipment, Siemens is contributing to the strengthening of critical infrastructure, specifically AI-driven data centers across the nation.
In addition to its manufacturing investments, Siemens is enhancing its software portfolio. The company has signed an agreement to acquire Michigan-based Altair, a leading software company, in October 2024. This acquisition, combined with Siemens’ existing software, will create the world’s most complete AI-powered design and simulation portfolio. The expanded suite will enable users to design and manufacture smarter, more complex products faster by simulating designs in the digital world before physical production begins.
“We believe in the innovation and strength of America’s industry,” said Roland Busch, President and CEO of Siemens AG. “That’s why Siemens has invested over $90 billion in the country over the past 20 years. This year’s investment will bring that total to over $100 billion, bringing more jobs, cutting-edge technology, and boosting America’s AI capabilities.”
Siemens currently employs over 45,000 people in the U.S. and collaborates with approximately 12,000 suppliers across the country. With its increased investment, Siemens is not only advancing American manufacturing but also fortifying the country’s position in the global industrial AI landscape.
